Become a Friend of the Foundation To help us raise invaluable funds we are inviting supporters of our work to become a friend of the Foundation. You can become a Friend for £20 a year or a Corporate Friend for £200 a year. You will receive copies of quarterly newsletter 'Inspiration' plus invitations to our events and activities throughout the year. To download an application form please click here.
Volunteering We are always looking for volunteers to help with office administration; with organising our in-house events or to organise an event or activity on behalf of the foundation. If you think you can help us with an existing event, such as driving a transport vehicle for one of our challenges or helping out at a children’s flying day then call us on: + 44 (0) 1883 742 273. Participation We organise a number of exciting events and activities throughout the year. We actively encourage amputees and individuals with other disabilities to participate in these events alongside able bodied individuals and groups. This forms part of our mission for inclusion. Why not join us and participate in one of our exciting and often life changing local or international challenge; such as walking the Great Wall of China or rowing a Dragon Boat. Financial Support. The Douglas Bader Foundation is reliant on charitable donations to carry out the invaluable work we do with the limb loss community. As with all useful services there is a cost for delivering these vital life lines. To continue our work we are relying on donations from individuals, corporations and trusts.
