An Update from the Gwennili Trust – Some Sailing Opportunities Still Available

Dear Disabled Sailor

It is not too late to book an exciting sail with the Gwennili Trust this season.   We still have a few opportunities available as follows:

  • Sun 8 to Sun 15 August - a 7 day cruise, weather permitting to the Channel Islands, on the 39ft conventional yacht Outreach II.  While not suitable for a wheelchair user it would be a wonderful experience for someone that is reasonably mobile.   For an idea of what to expect read accounts of previous similar cruises on the reports page of our website http://www.gwennili.org.uk/reports.htm
  • Sat 14 Aug – a day sail from Port Solent on the wheelchair accessible catamaran Spirit of Scott Bader.   These events have previously only been arranged for weekdays so this is your chance if are only free at the weekend.   To understand what fun a day sail on Spirit of Scott Bader can be watch the Gwennili video on www.ryasailability.tv
  • Wed 18 – Thursday 19 Aug - a two day Solent cruise with overnight aboard Spirit of Scott Bader.   Once again this is a first for us.  To see Spirit of Scott Bader and the accommodation on board visit  http://www.gwennili.org.uk/links.htm and click on Spirit of Scott Bader to see a YouTube link.
  • Further individual and group day sails on Spirit of Scott Bader may also be added on request.

Don’t miss these few remaining opportunities to get on the water this summer.   You can apply on line or contact me direct.

Best wishes
