The Nairobi Sitting Volleyball Club

Would anyone be interested in offering support of any kind to The Nairobi Sitting Volleyball Club?

I’ve received this message from Moses Ondeng, the founder and coach, who is desperately keen to keep this club going and hoping eventually to travel to compete with Sitting Volleyball Teams in other countries. This is a wonderful sport for Amputees and other disabled and it’d be nice to see it develop.

Moses writes:

The club is known as the NAIROBI SITTING VOLLEYBALL CLUB which started way back in
2005 with a handfull club members. The team has now grown big and has a membership
of over 40 people. Infact some pioneer member have moved on to form other clubs. The
team has been used to help form other teams all over the country and now we have
about four teams in four different towns in kenya.
The team has never participated in a serious competition and this has made some
members to keep off. So at the moment we are trying to organise soma competition to
make them enjoy the game and see the reason for participating in the sport.

There’s already our popular Forum for information, support & chat. But sometimes you may feel in need of something extra.

You’re special to us you know! So we thought you’d like a more personal service for more specific advice or maybe to make a 1-2-1 contact with another amputee.
