Odd Shoes

Charlotte writes that she suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and has different sized feet. Consequently, every time she buys shoes, she’s left with 2 odd ones. She’s understandably loath to throw away brand new shoes and wonders if anyone out there might need a single shoe.

"...the shoes I have spare are women's, right
size 5 and left size 3 - all sorts, trainers, flats, sandals, boots, all brand new
and not worn at all. Happy to donate and send."

if you think you might be interested, please contact Charlotte on:

I wear a splint on my left leg/foot and have to buy two pairs of shoes each time. Now I buy Skechers and have 5 brand new single right size 8s in various styles to swap or donate.

  1. Hi,
I have just read Charlottes information. My name is Sylvie and I too have odd sized feet. I am 16 and have various trainers/high tops, brand new in odd sizes. The left are size 5 and the rights are size 3.
Is there any one you could put me in contact with that would be interested in these size shoes.
    Thanks for your attention

    Sylvie.

Hi there, I have a right foot 3 and left 5 to 5.5 so if there is an opposite match out there shout me.

  2. I am a podiatrist working in the specialist area of disabilities and I am interested in the difficulties and concerns expressed above by consumers. I have links with a university and would be interested in conducting a survey perhaps which could help perhaps in resolving an issue which I assume is probably largely unreported. If you are interested in being a subject for such a study please let me know so others may be helped. Alan

  3. My daughter has ‘footdrop’ and buys mainly Converse trainers in sizes 8 and 11. We therefore have many brand new shoes still in their boxes. These are right 11 and left 8. Any idea how to find these good homes?

  4. Hi alan and everyone, my daughter has cerebral paulsy and hypermobility most of the time i have to buy two sets of shoes in two different sizes to accomadate her splint she has rest time so i use the both the smaller pair but always have a left larger shoe that doesnt get used, it is such a waste. clarks do do a scheme where you buy a odd pair for the cost of a pair plus 25% which works well but means we dont have a rest pair.i would be happy to take part in a study and help set up some kind of fb page or trade a shoe org. i can be contacted at charlottesalvagemurray@googlemail.com

  5. I had my leg amputated 2 and a half years ago, I would be very grateful to have your offer of the right size 5! Also if anyone is in need of some new left hand size 5-6 shoes and boots I would be happy to donate, please contact me by emailing Anna_ogden9@hotmail.com

  6. I have odd size feet as I have CP and had the left leg made longer.
    My left is a 3 right is a 4

    Regards Jo
